Your learning profile is the foundation of your experience inside the Astra IPT Learning Hub. It stores your course history, tracks your progress, holds your earned certificates, and powers the personalised recommendations you see across the platform. This page explains what your learning profile contains, how to set it up for the first time, and how to keep it current as your role and goals evolve.

Why Your Learning Profile Matters

A complete and accurate learning profile does three important things for you:
  • Tracks your progress — Every course you enroll in, every module you complete, and every assessment you pass is recorded against your profile, giving you a clear view of how far you’ve come.
  • Stores your certificates — Certificates earned through the Learning Hub are saved directly to your profile, making them easy to download, share, or reference at any time.
  • Personalises your recommendations — The platform uses your stated role and learning goals to surface courses and resources that are genuinely relevant to you, so you spend less time searching and more time learning.

Set Up Your Profile

Follow these steps the first time you access the Learning Hub to make sure your profile is ready to go.
1

Access Profile Settings

Select your avatar or name in the top-right corner of the portal navigation bar. From the dropdown menu, choose Profile Settings to open your learning profile page.
2

Add Your Name and Role

Enter your full name and select your job role from the dropdown list. Your role helps the platform recommend courses that are relevant to your day-to-day responsibilities. If your exact role isn’t listed, choose the closest match and add detail in the About Me field.
3

Set Your Learning Goals and Preferences

In the Learning Goals section, select the topics or skill areas you want to focus on. You can choose multiple goals. You can also set a preferred learning pace (for example, a target number of modules per week) to receive timely nudges and reminders.
4

Save Your Profile

Click Save Profile at the bottom of the settings page. Your preferences take effect immediately — return to the Dashboard to see your updated course recommendations.

Updating Your Profile Later

Your profile isn’t set in stone. As your role changes or your learning priorities shift, you can update any part of your profile at any time. To make changes, navigate back to Profile Settings from the top navigation bar. Edit any field you need to update — your name, role, learning goals, or pace preferences — and click Save Profile again to apply the changes. Updated preferences will be reflected in your recommendations within a few minutes.
Your email address and login credentials are managed at the account level, not within the Learning Hub profile. To update these details, go to Account Settings in the top navigation bar, or contact your portal administrator if you don’t have permission to make changes directly.

What Data Is Stored in Your Profile

Your learning profile keeps a running record of your activity across the entire Learning Hub. Here’s what it tracks:
Keep your role and learning goals up to date whenever your responsibilities change. The recommendation engine relies on this information to surface the right courses at the right time — an outdated profile can mean missing content that’s directly relevant to your current work.
