The Astra IPT Learning Hub organizes each course into modules, and each module into individual lessons. When you open a lesson, you enter a focused learning environment designed to keep you on track — with clear navigation, automatic progress saving, and a variety of content formats to match different learning styles.

Lesson Types

Courses in the Learning Hub use several different lesson formats depending on the topic and learning objectives. Understanding what each type involves helps you prepare for what’s ahead.
Video lessons present content through recorded instruction. Use the built-in player controls to play, pause, rewind, and adjust playback speed. Closed captions are available on all video lessons — toggle them using the CC button in the player toolbar. If a video includes a downloadable transcript, you will find a link below the player.
Reading lessons present written content directly on the page. Scroll through the material at your own pace. Some reading lessons include embedded images, diagrams, or expandable sections to supplement the main text. Downloadable versions of reading materials, such as PDFs or reference guides, are linked at the bottom of the lesson when available.
Quiz lessons test your understanding of the material covered in the preceding module. Each quiz presents a set of multiple-choice or short-answer questions. You must achieve the passing score to mark the lesson complete and unlock the next module. See the Quizzes section below for details on passing scores and retakes.
Hands-on exercises give you a practical task to complete, such as working through a scenario, filling out a worksheet, or applying a process in a simulated environment. Instructions are provided within the lesson. Once you complete the exercise, mark it as done using the Mark Complete button at the bottom of the page to advance to the next lesson.
Inside a course, the left-hand sidebar shows all modules and lessons in order. Your current lesson is highlighted, and completed lessons display a checkmark so you can see your progress at a glance. Use the Next Lesson and Previous Lesson buttons at the bottom of each lesson page to move forward or back through the course content. You can also click directly on any lesson title in the sidebar to jump to it, though lessons that are locked behind incomplete prerequisites will not be accessible until the earlier lesson is finished. At the top of the course view, a progress bar shows the percentage of the course you have completed. As you finish each lesson, the bar updates automatically. You can also mark any lesson complete manually using the Mark Complete button if the content does not trigger automatic completion — for example, after finishing a reading or hands-on exercise.

Quizzes

Quizzes are a core part of how the Learning Hub reinforces your understanding of course material. Each quiz has a defined passing score, which is displayed at the top of the quiz page before you begin.
  • Passing score — typically 70% or higher, though this may vary by course. Check the quiz instructions for the exact requirement.
  • Retaking a quiz — if you do not reach the passing score on your first attempt, you can retake the quiz immediately. There is no limit on the number of attempts. Your most recent score is recorded, and the quiz is marked complete once you pass.
  • Reviewing answers — after submitting a quiz, you can review your answers and see which questions you answered incorrectly, along with explanations where provided.
Before starting a quiz or working through a hands-on exercise, take a few minutes to review your notes from the preceding video or reading lessons. Many courses also include downloadable reference materials — keep these open in a separate tab while you work through quizzes and exercises for quick reference.
Your progress is saved automatically as you move through lessons. If you need to leave a lesson before finishing — whether you close the browser tab or navigate away — your place is saved and you can pick up exactly where you left off the next time you open the course.
