The Astra IPT Learning Hub is fully supported on Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+, and Edge 90+. Using an older or unsupported browser is the most frequent cause of unexpected issues. Make sure your browser is up to date before troubleshooting further.
Videos won't play
Videos won't play
If a video lesson won’t start or keeps buffering, try the following steps in order:
- Check your browser. The Learning Hub video player works best in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. If you’re using a different browser, switch to one of these.
- Disable your VPN. VPN connections can interfere with video streaming. Temporarily disable your VPN and try playing the video again.
- Check your internet connection. Video playback requires a stable connection. Run a speed test or try loading another video-heavy site to confirm your connection is working.
- Disable browser extensions. Ad blockers or privacy extensions can sometimes block video content. Try disabling them or opening the portal in an incognito/private window.
- Clear your browser cache. Stale cached data can cause playback failures. Clear your cache and cookies, then reload the page.
Progress not saving
Progress not saving
If your course progress doesn’t appear to be saving, here’s what to check:
- Confirm you’re logged in. Progress only saves to authenticated accounts. If your session has timed out, log back in and resume your course.
- Don’t close the browser mid-lesson. The Learning Hub saves your progress automatically every few minutes. Closing the tab or browser immediately after completing a section may result in that progress not being recorded. Wait for the progress indicator to update before navigating away.
- Avoid using multiple tabs. Having the same course open in more than one browser tab can cause saving conflicts. Keep only one active session open at a time.
- Refresh and check. If progress seems stuck, refresh the page and re-open the course — your saved position should load correctly.
Certificate not appearing after course completion
Certificate not appearing after course completion
If your certificate hasn’t appeared after finishing a course, follow these steps:
- Wait a few minutes. Certificate generation can take up to five minutes after your final assessment is submitted.
- Refresh the page. After waiting, refresh your browser and navigate to Profile > Certifications again.
- Confirm all requirements are met. Make sure you’ve completed every required lesson in the course and passed all required quizzes. A course is only marked complete when all components are finished.
- Check the correct account. Ensure you’re logged in with the same account you used to complete the course.
Can't find an enrolled course
Can't find an enrolled course
If a course you’ve enrolled in isn’t showing up, try the following:
- Visit your My Courses dashboard. All enrolled courses are listed under My Courses in the Learning Hub navigation. Check here before searching the full course library.
- Verify your account. Make sure you’re logged in with the correct account. If your organization has multiple portal accounts, you may have enrolled under a different one.
- Check enrollment confirmation. If you enrolled recently, allow a few minutes for the course to appear. You should also receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account.
- Contact support. If the course still isn’t visible, reach out to the support team with the course name and your account email so they can investigate.
Download not working
Download not working
If course materials aren’t downloading when you click the download link, try these steps:
- Try a different browser. Some browsers handle file downloads differently. Switch to Chrome or Firefox and attempt the download again.
- Check your browser’s download settings. Some browsers are configured to ask where to save files or may silently block certain downloads. Check your browser’s download preferences and ensure downloads are permitted.
- Disable pop-up blockers. Certain download prompts open in a new window. If pop-ups are blocked, the download dialog may never appear. Allow pop-ups for the Learning Hub portal and try again.
- Check available disk space. Ensure your device has enough free storage to save the file.
Portal loading slowly
Portal loading slowly
If the Learning Hub portal is taking a long time to load or feels sluggish, try these fixes:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies. Accumulated cached data can significantly slow down portal performance. Clear your cache, restart your browser, and reload the portal.
- Try incognito or private mode. Opening the portal in an incognito window disables extensions and uses a clean cache, which can rule out extension conflicts or corrupted cache data as the cause.
- Close unused browser tabs. Too many open tabs consume memory and can slow your browser down. Close tabs you aren’t using and try again.
- Check your network speed. Run a speed test to confirm your connection isn’t the bottleneck. If your internet is slow, try connecting to a different network.
