# Use Ready-Made Templates to Apply Your Learning Skills

> Access ready-made templates to put your learning into practice — available in Word, Excel, and PDF formats across key business areas.

The Astra IPT Learning Hub includes a library of professionally designed templates that help you move from learning to doing. Rather than starting from scratch, you can download a ready-made template, customise it for your context, and immediately apply the skills and frameworks you've developed through your courses. This page explains what templates are available, how to find and use them, and what file formats to expect.

## Available Template Categories

Templates in the Learning Hub are organised into categories that map to common workplace needs. You'll find templates covering:

* **Project Planning** — Project briefs, timelines, RACI matrices, and milestone trackers
* **Communication** — Meeting agendas, stakeholder update emails, presentation outlines, and feedback forms
* **Reporting** — Progress reports, KPI dashboards, executive summaries, and data summary tables
* **Strategy** — SWOT analysis frameworks, goal-setting worksheets, business case outlines, and action planning grids
* **Team & Performance** — One-on-one meeting templates, performance review frameworks, and team charter documents
* **Learning & Development** — Personal development plans, learning logs, and post-course reflection worksheets

## How to Use a Template

**1. Go to Resources > Templates**

From the main navigation, select **Resources**, then choose **Templates** from the submenu. This opens the full template library.

**2. Browse or search by category**

Scroll through the library or use the **category filter** on the left to narrow results. You can also type a keyword into the search bar — for example, "project brief" or "stakeholder" — to find specific templates quickly.

**3. Preview the template**

Click on any template card to open a preview. The preview shows the template's structure, sections, and placeholder content so you can confirm it meets your needs before downloading.

**4. Download and customise in your preferred tool**

Click **Download** and select your preferred file format (Word, Excel, or PDF). Open the file in your usual application, replace the placeholder content with your own information, and adapt the structure to suit your specific situation.

## File Formats

All templates are available in one or more of the following formats, depending on the template type:

**Word (.docx)**

Best for text-based templates such as reports, briefs, emails, and planning documents. Fully editable in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Ideal when you need to write, format, and share written content.

**Excel (.xlsx)**

Best for templates that include tables, calculations, or structured data — such as trackers, dashboards, and matrices. Fully editable in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

**PDF**

Best for templates you intend to print and complete by hand, or share as a fixed-format document. PDFs are not editable — download the Word or Excel version if you need to customise the content digitally.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Every template in the Astra IPT Learning Hub has been designed specifically for client use cases by the Astra IPT team. They are grounded in the same frameworks and methodologies taught across the programme, so you can trust that the structure reflects current best practice.

> [!TIP]
>
> For the best results, pair each template with the course or module it's linked to. The template listing page shows a **Related Course** tag where applicable — complete the course first to fully understand the framework, then use the template to put it into practice straight away.
